As of early 2026, 6 stations on the Yellow Line (Taj East Gate to Mankameshwar Mandir, 5.2 km) are operational since March 6, 2024. Trial runs are underway from ISBT to Bijli Ghar Chowk for the Yellow Line extension. The complete Yellow Line (Sikandra to Taj East Gate, 14.25 km, 13 stations) and the Blue Line (Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar, 15.4 km, 15 stations) are under construction with Blue Line expected around 2026.
The Taj Mahal metro station on the Yellow Line is the closest station to the iconic monument. Taj East Gate metro station is also very convenient for tourists entering from the eastern gate — both are on the operational corridor.
Agra Metro fares are station-count based: 1 station = ₹10, 2 stations = ₹15, 3–6 stations = ₹20, 7–9 stations = ₹30. The NCMC RuPay On-The-Go card gives a 10% discount on every journey. Children below 90 cm height travel free.

The Agra Fort metro station on the Yellow Line is the designated station for reaching the historic Agra Fort UNESCO World Heritage Site. The station is currently in the non-operational section under construction.
The Agra Cantt metro station on the proposed Blue Line will provide direct connectivity to Agra Cantt Railway Station. The Blue Line is under construction and expected to open in 2026. Until then, use local transport from the nearest active metro station.
